The Sunsetting of Jamboard....What Will Rise?

 As you may have heard, Jamboard's device and app will sunset sometime in 2024. This brings up a fun conversation, what will rise in its place?  Some say FigJam... Let's talk about what will be missed from Jamboard and how we can 'fill the void'.  

Maybe you'll miss the fun, readymade Canva backgrounds-  Canva has FigJam covered with fun readymade backgrounds usable in its platform. Whether you are trying to help your audience organize their thoughts or evidence, there are many options ready for you.

Possibly you'll miss the ability for many users to contribute at once- FigJam also has that covered with much-needed upgrades, it now has the profile picture associated with the user attached to the cursor and contributions of the participants so you can see WHO is doing the shinanigans on the jam.  Tell me you'll miss students anonymously wreaking havoc on your board with a straight face... I'll wait.

Maybe you'll miss the seamless connection with Google accounts? FigJam has that covered with the ability to log in with Google.  No, they won't LIVE in your Google Drive, but it was never a one-stop shop anyway.

I'm personally excited about the many modalities of adding content in FigJam, most importantly the audio feature which will be added soon. Whatever you are thinking you'll miss, I can bet you'll be able to fill that void with FigJam. Give it a try!  Jamboard we are still sad to see you go, but life must go on!
